How many soccerfields do you use?

A soccer field is about ½ hectare. We count our footprints in ‘soccer fields’
Count your points and look how big your footprint is, how much of the earth is needed for your way of living:

  • More than 130 = 16 soccer fields (=8 hectares) or more
  • Between 110 and 130 = 14 ,,
  • Between 90 and 110 = 12 ,,
  • Between 70 and 90 = 10 ,,
  • Between 50 and 70 = 8 ,,
  • Between 30 and 50 = 6 ,,
  • Less than 30 = 4 ,, or less…

The average footprint of a (adult) European is about 9 soccer fields (4,5 hectares)
The average of adult Indonesians is about 3 soccer fields

There is really 3,5, soccer fields (1,8 hectares) available for every person on earth, (the ‘fair earth share’)

Many people in the poorer countries use about one soccer field (0,6 hectares)
